Soooooo, the big news of the last day or so in the latest “controversy for controversies sake” is the soon to be published People magazine story that Katherine Webb only eats about 1150 calories per day, usually something like a homemade smoothie for breakfast, green apple for snack, spinach salad with almonds and strawberries for lunch, frozen yogurt bar for snack and grilled chicken fingers with sweet potato fries for dinner.

That sounds like a solid daily intake to me, but there are some out there who say that she could easily be eating another 600 calories a day and stay healthy, and that this is prompting a fear of dangerous dieting!

Katie says that every once in a while she will let her guard down and treat herself with something, but if she does, she makes sure to knock out some cardio to make up for the extra calories…. I gotta admit, she looks fine to me.

Here is where this post will go left… and then I will bring it back, I promise. What the fuck is wrong with people? In random conversations that I have had with random homies, I will admit that I think Katherine Webb is one of the hottest fucking smokeshows to come to the world in the last few years. This girl is gorgeous. And whatever she is doing to look like she is looking is ok with me, bad diet, good diet, crash diet, or whtatever. But here is the other thing, if she if fine and isnt fainting all over the place, whats wrong with what she is eating?

The other thing is this; I know dudes who do some form or fashion of this to get jacked, and this is how you get results. As Katherine put it in the People magazine piece, its all about self control. Since when did being slim and hot as fuck become a bad thing? I for one, am not, what they are…. slim and hot as fuck, but I know how to get there, or better yet, I know what it takes to NOT get there. Thats eating whatever you want all the time. Look at this chick!!!

You know what else… do you ever think about what hot girls go through to be hot? Obviously sometimes there are the ones who are gifted by birth and dont need to do anything else but eat salads and walk around all day to be hot, but then there are others who have to eat right, workout, get their sleep, and all sorts of other things to look good for us bros. I salute them. I thank them. I think we need to praise them instead of beating them down. If everyone was as disciplined at Katy Webb, our country wouldnt be the fattest country in the world and we are taking away sodas and milk from kids in school. Let’s all be a Katy Webb. I just wanted to post this remix that Ursher did the other day.

Ursher, is that dude. Its funny to think about this cat, for me, because on a lot of levels I relate to this dude a lot. I have Atlanta ties and we are around the same age, so I have grown as he has grown and had some successes and failures just as he has. So in a lot of ways, I like this dude and his style, plus me makes dope ass music.

Another interesting thing about him, is that he for me, is somewhat of a style icon that I associate with too. I was having a conversation with my dad maybe a year ago about style and people who are stylish and how we dont really have cats out there like that these days. Actually, we have those sorts of role models, but they have a really really weird sense of fashion that I cant get with.

For some background on why me and my father were even having this discussion is because my pops is a really fly cat. Always has been and always will be. His closet is ridiculous. Shots like a chick and would spend 3 grrr on a suit and not even think about it. Sometimes we talk about where his sense of style comes from and he always names the usual suspects that you would think about. As we were having this discussion, I was thinking about the guys that we look for style keys nowadays (and you know my feeling about modern day athletes and their “style”) and I actually could come up with a pretty good list of dudes. Ursher is on it. Clooney is on it. Pharrell is on it. Timberlake is on it. DiCaprio is on it. I’m rambling by the way…..

Long story short, I think Ush is a cool cat and listening to this long form interview only solidifies that fact. A lot of takeaways and quotables in this interview. It was a good way to spend 25 minutes. Pharrell is really good at this.

Well done Sergio. The most interesting thing about this whole situation is that ever since their little beef last week at a tournament where Sergio felt that Tiger was ungentlemen-like and pulled a club out while he was standing over a ball, 50 yards away, resulting in some crowd reaction that forced Sergio to shoot a bad shot. For one, I think that is total bullshit, and he has wanted a situation to happen where he could air out his differences with Woods, which are basically, ridiculous. Look, Sergio can not like the guy.. thats fine, what do I care, but for some reason he has decided to use this incident to make an all out attack on Tiger’s character every chance he gets in front of a microphone and camera.

Some of his quotes have been downright hilarious… lets not even mention the fact that 50 yards is a long, long way away. Its half a football field! If you are thrown off your game because some people are clapping half a football field away from where you are shooting, you arent the good anyway. Fuck outta here bro. But the funny thing is that he wasnt even swinging, or as he says, in his backswing. He was just standing over the ball. Don’t believe it, watch the tape. Because he is full of shit.

The best quote we’ve heard from Sergio, and we wont put up but one, is this one:

“”He called me a whiner. He’s probably right” …. Sergio continues…. “Sometimes most of the people love me and some hate me. I understand that but I’m not going to change. He may not make a difference in your life bro, but he has definitely made a difference in your career and your lifestyle. This is something that I could write 1000 words about but I will make it quick because I just get so frustrated with these dudes all the time. Sergio isnt the first and he isnt the last to go off talking reckless about Tiger Woods, and how he isnt a nice guy and how he doesnt make that big a difference in their lives and they are tired of answering questions about him, but here is the fucking reality. You would not be who you are, if it was not for Tiger Woods. None of these guys would be making anywhere near the money they are making, they wouldnt have private jets, they would have crazy ratings of their shitty tournaments when he isnt playing.

In the long list of Tiger ‘whatever’ guys would include Vijay, Phil Mickelson, David Duvall, Sergio and many many more guys that I dont feel like typing about right now… and for every one of those guys that I just named, Tiger Woods is DIRECTLY responsible for about 50 million dollars per person. Its just a fact. If Tiger wasn’t around they wouldnt be important. THey wouldnt be pitchmen. They wouldnt be getting the same level of sponsorships. You know why, because nobody would be watching!!! Don’t believe me, here read this… its from the Nielsen company. You know, the company that measures television ratings:

And those numbers are from before he run his car off the road and got hit in the face with a golf club for cheating on his wife with about 100 IHOP waitresses and skrippers.

Here is the thing about all of this… I get it. They don’t like Tiger. They don’t like answering questions about him ALL THE TIME. THey don’t like the fact that their press conferences start out with questions about him. They don’t like that everything they do is compared to him first, and overshadowed by it usually, regardless of what their accomplishment is. I get it. I really do. I don’t think they need to dick ride the dude because as a competitor, you need to think that you are better than a guy to beat him, you need a healthy dislike of the guy at the top to take him down I’m sure. I get all of that. But at the same time, I’m getting tired of all the disrespect from the rest of these guys that he made filthy fucking rich. Cut the crap guys.. .this whole Sergio taking on Tiger thing is just the latest in a long run of other guys taking shots at the throne. Its getting old. When you think about it, its probably why every time you all go out on the course with this guy, he beats your brains in.

So the rumors last week of Jaden Smith wanting to be emancipated from his parents as a gift for his 15th birthday appear to be a little bit exaggerated, but it brings up an interesting point to me. The actual definition of being an emancipated minor is this: a minor who is allowed to conduct a business or any other occupation on his or her own behalf or for their own account outside the influence of a parent or guardian. The minor will then have full contractual capacity to conclude contract with regard to the business.

In most countries of the world, adolescents below the legal age of majority (adulthood) may be emancipated in some manner: through marriage, attaining economic self-sufficiency, obtaining an educational degree or diploma, or participating in a form of military service.

In the United States, minors are under the control of their parents or legal guardians, until they attain the age of majority, at which point they become legal adults. In most states this is either 18 years old, or requires the person be either both 18 and out of high school or at least 20 years old.

In most cases, this is one of those things that you say, no… no need to do something like that because for the most part a kid can’t handle themselves on their own… In entertainment we hear this a lot with child actors because a lot of the time either the parents arent worth a damn, or the kid is just off their rocker and want to be free from the guidance of their parents and want to do their own thing because, well, the parents are worth a damn. Usually its because they are controlling all of the kids money and not breaking them off with what the kids think they deserve.

The whole age thing is interesting to me, because just judging from when I was around 15 or 16 years old, I definitely thought I knew what life was about on some levels and I can only imagine if I was on a hit tv show or had been in a couple of movies and produced a few million dollars that my parents never let me get a part of, or put me on some bullshit salary, when I am the major bread winner foe the family. But the Smiths would be a different case, right? Of course there is a quote recently where Jada made it pretty clear that their parenting style is much different from a lot of families… they dont punish their kids according to reports from the SUN via The Daily Mail:

“We generally don’t believe in punishment. From the time Jaden was 5 or 6 we would sit him down, and all he has to do is be able to explain why what he did was the right thing for his life.”

So when you look at all of it… you gotta think that they would handle this correctly, and in reality, its not like the kid will be moving to some random land all by himself and running amok. He’ll just get an ill condo somewhere by his boys Justin Beiber and the Tom Cruise kid and probably just do the latest iteration of the rat pack. I’m all for it, dont think this will be a Macauley Culkin situation at all.
